Srimanta holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from Amity University, Noida and a Bachelor’s degree in Botany (Hons.) from Burdwan University, West Bengal.  He holds certificates on Integrated Solid Waste Management for Smart Cities form IIT, Kharagpur and on Advanced Excel Learning from Internshala. He has over 4 years of experience in the environment consultancy sector. He has worked on various national and international projects in domains such as solid waste management, monitoring & evaluation, feasibility studies, market studies, corporate social responsibility, endline & baseline surveys, responsible tourism, drinking water and sanitation, marine litter, training and capacity building of vulnerable communities and forest resource management as a team member. He has worked on biodiversity management during his dissertation which was mainly focused on impact assessment of ecotourism practices in and around the National Parks of Madhya Pradesh. He has worked with various organizations such as GIZ, World Bank, Royal Enfield, ToFTigers, MUDA, MARAFIQ, WABAG, CHINTAN etc.
