Shabarni Roy Chowdhury, M. Phil (EVS),
M.Sc. (Physical Anthropology)
Holds an M.Phil in Environmental Science from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and M.Sc. (Physical Anthropology) from Viswa Bharati University, santiniketan, West Bengal. Has a work experience of more than fourteen years, including with WWF-India at New Delhi, India Environmental Society and All India Center for Urban and Rural Development, Her project assignments include Waste  Management, Circular Economy, Sustainable Development,  Environmental and social audits in the vicinity of National Reserve Forest and Environmental Sensitive Regions; Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) and providing Transaction Advisory (TA) Services for Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) projects on PPP basis for ULBs, Rajasthan; Research assignment for ENVIS Center of WWF-India (Funded by Ministry of Environment and Forest, MoEF) where she undertook analysis of parliamentarian (of Both Houses) Data on Environmental topics; ENVIS Programme  on Panchayati Raj (Funded by MoEF) where she reviewed water related issues of different Panchayati Raj in India; Yamuna Action Plan II (School Health and Hygiene) funded by MoEF& JICA, where she developed a strategic plan for handling projects and training material on safe drinking water and sanitation issues. During her tenure, she has worked on several projects funded by multinational /international funding agencies such as GIZ, UNDP, JICA , The World  Banks etc.
